A rock is a group of minerals bound together. A rock group is a small musical ensemble. Somehow everything is connected. From a higher point of view even the biggest building becomes a dot. One thing leads to another… And that is simply how The Connecting Dots got together.

Situated in Stockholm, Sweden, the core of the band consists of singer Helena Sundstrom and guitarist Johan Borg. Influences span from 1970’s power pop and new wave to timeless geniuses like Prince and David Bowie, Grace Jones, The Clash and Blondie, 1980’s pop icons such as Kate Bush and Eurythmics and more recent acts like Lana Del Rey, Beach House, Cults, Suede, and Sharon Van Etten – all decanted in a delectable cocktail that could not possibly be served before the 2020’s.

The Connecting Dots offer a sweet mix of atmospheric synthesizers, hooky guitars and poignant vocals on their debut album ”Oblivious Beat” released on vinyl and streaming by Direct Lines Records in 2021. The album was followed by stand alone summer single ”Dream Lover”.

The second album, entitled ”Treasures In The Valley”, was released in September 2022. New album is coming early autumn 2025. More songs followed, including the synthwave collab EP ”Dancing On Water Lilies”. In the fall of 2025, The Connecting Dots third full length album ”Sweet Debauchery” will see the light of day.

The edges are as raw as the heart is pure.
